クリプトン社を立ち上げた経緯がDTM黎明期に海外のDTM作家達と交流があって、日本に彼らの音源を配布したり日本の音源を海外にだしたりするのを副業でやっていたら、そちらが忙しくなりすぎたので専念するために会社起こした。と言う経緯らしく、

丁度日本でも90年代の始めにMIDIが流行って楽曲作って配布する動きが当時のネットワーカの間であったのですが、

その動き自体にJASRACが難癖付けまくって、結局、大手のパソ通BBSの専用コーナーで「実験」名目で配布する物以外はおしなべて大きな訴訟リスクを抱える状況に陥ってしまいまして、

特に当時はフレーズをどの位まで引用可能かと言う時点でJASRAC側と楽曲作成者の間で完全に見解がずれてて、それでも作品を世に出したい人は渋々JASRACの方針に従ってやっていました。

あの当時は今と違ってJASRACの管理下にない曲が非常に少なくて、それ故どんな無茶でも聞かざるを得ず…

結果として著作権解釈を巡ったユーザ間の紛争も多発して、

ネットがあるのに作家同士が研鑽する場がどんどん減って…アマチュアDTM自体が壊滅寸前に追い込まれました。

伊藤社長は丁度その時期に海外と交流しながら副業やっていた訳で…アマチュアDTMを巡る海外と日本の状況温度差、とりわけ日本の不自由さを肌で感じている数少ない方の筈です。

当時の二の舞にはしたくないという強固な意志があると思いますよ。
